Citi

Hi,

I got my citi card in march for cl2800  i have others at 10000,6200,6000 etc...I pushed the love button online today it said to call customer service didnt say anything else...so i thought why not...  Called them they asked me my HHI  and asked how much I was looking for I told them hadnt really thought about an amount but said well lets try for 6k maybe I can do a balance transfer from one of my other cards.  He said ok then said to call back in 30 min to see if it was processed.  Anyone else had this happen?  This seems kind of weird.  Was it approved yes or no?  Also he did not say anything about pulling my credit or anything like that...

Re: Citi

Very strange.  I've never heard of that procedure with Citi CLI before.

Once you know the outcome, please update here and let us know what happens and whether they pulled a hard inquiry.

Re: Citi

How long will it take for the hard pull to show up if they did one?  If I pulled the report in like 20 min would it show?

No, you can't dispute it.  It's a legitimate inquiry.  They have permissible purpose, because you were asking for a CLI on an existing account.  That is the same as applying for new credit, and they are not required to tell you in advance.

Edit to add: Congrats, though, on the CLI!
