Citicard.....

I have had my Citicard for a year now. I have one of those cards that gives me a $5k limit but has a no-set pre-spending limit. Each time on my CR, it always show up as a zero balance even when I carry a balance.

This morning however, I get this message from my scorewatch:

Your CITIBANK account balance has increased by 2500% from $0 to $3,187

Has this happened to anyone else? And why report a balance all of a sudden? What will this 2500% increase mean to my overall CR score?

Re: Citicard.....

So can I expect a score decrease since I have spent 2500% within the past month?

Re: Citicard.....

I don't know where that 2500% figure comes from.  Increasing from $0 to $3K is an undefined percent increase, not 2500%.

Re: Citicard.....

I get 2500% even if I go from 0 to 10 bucks.

Re: Citicard.....

That happened to to me the one month I had my PremierPass card. There was not a negative impact. We all here tend to worry that these types of cards don't report credit limits, but I think fico scores aren't really impacted by it. It just looks like util is bad but at least in my one month circumstance, fico was unaffected...
