The CSR that I first spoke to this morning said that Citi would be converting the Plat Select cards beginning March 4th thru April 14th. He said they planned on completing the replacement card mailings by May 31. I have NOT received anything in writing to verify this but that could be forthcoming. I think the points program will make the card more interesting than the ultra vanilla version (Plat Select MC).
So, any ideas about the Luv Button, why it only shows the form?

How long has it only shown the form? Usually every 6 months it will change and say to call in for a decision, and usually that means it will be a soft pull
If you get the form you can count on a hard inquiry if you fill it out. My son has the Platinum Select for 5 years limit is now just shy of 5K. Never got a CLI. The CLI request button under Tools yielded the form the other day. Some accounts might never be eligible for a hard free CLI.

aww, really? i wonder if that is better than the citicash program on the platinum select. not that we really use it for rewards, but it'd be nice to know if the program is any good. another darn new card......
ThankYou reward (besides bonus offered from Citi Forward) is inferior to 1% cashback program (1 TY points yields about 0.7% value).
I called up Citi a few weeks ago to do a PC on the Aadvantage MC and Aadvantage Amex I have with them. I told her I wanted a card with no annual fee and one that reported credit limits, so they switched the AA MC to a Diamond Preferred. Then she said that the AA Amex could not be PC'd to anything.
Then she said that within the next 30 days, all cards would be reporting credit limits. I asked if a note was going out, and she said no, it was just info on a memo she got on 2/28.
Sure enough, within 2 weeks of that call, both cards started reporting credit limits. I don't know if it was just because I called up unhappy about the non-reporting of CL's, or if they really are doing a global change to that policy. FWIW.

My annual fee on my AA Select Amex is coming due in August which will be $85. I'm thinking of downgrading it to the regular AA Amex card ($50 fee) as the only difference I see between the two cards are redemption for Reduced Mileage Award flights. I want to keep the card as I have too many miles on American to let expire. With regards to the CL reporting, it never has in the past and I just checked my pull from 3/5 and it wasn't reported. It's supposedly an NPSL card so that doesn't surprise me.
Hello Laz 98,
You reported they made a hard pull when you called the Citi phone number after clicking on the Request a CLI online... Yesterday I was doing the same when I realized the CSR was doing extra questions (the ones you can see on the online form) besides my income, she was asking about my occupation and employer. Also, she also said that it could be a hard or a soft pull when I asked her. I stopped the conversation at that point because those questions were not the ones they used to do for other soft-pull CLI I requested before. What kind of questions did they ask you?
