Decided to whittle down my cards this week. I wanted three estabilished cards to maximize my scores in the future when I go house hunting. I had no idea I could get rewards cards so early on in my rebuild, so I settled with an OpenSky secured with $250 on it, and got the Indigo with a $300 limit.
Closing the OpenSky was a no-brainer. Yes, it was my "oldest" open account (Aug. '18) but I figured might as well get the cash back, add it to my already growing savings, and avoid the next AF.
My motivation for closing the Indigo was the fact that I recently stumbled onto some other forums and reviews about fraudulent charges popping up on Indigo cards. I am not going to risk having a credit ding in my rebuild if I can help it. I felt like there was no reason to have to micro manage a $300 limit CC with no opportunity for growth.

I think you've made a good choice
Curious, tho...have you tried Discover?
Will be doing the same next month, Indigo and First Premier are on the chopping block. I must say though, they kicked started my rebuild and I am certainly grateful for that but after increasing my scores nearly 200 points in 20 months I can finally move on to bigger and better. Congrats on your rebuild as well!!!!!!!
