Closed card reporting lates

I have a Capital One card that was closed by them in 9/2012.

The account  was paid in full 12/2012.

Can they still report lates for Oct, Nov and Dec AFTER it was "closed"?

It does show last activity as Jan 2013 and reported OK...... Jan - June 2013.

Of course they can.  Them closing the account (or even charging it off) doesn't mean you don't owe the money.

Re: Closed card reporting lates

As a general rule lates can remain on your credit record for seven years. It has been reported that some creditors might consider removing them early based on circumstances. Good luck.
