Combining Chase Limits.

Hey guys.

I have a Freedom that i open on April last year and a Slate i opened on Nov of last year. Im going to pay down all my balances this week and was wondering what are the requirements to combine limits on both cards. My freedom is 3k and Slate is 2.5 k. I want to move 2k from slate to freedom.

Is this possible? Or do both accounts have to be open for a certain amount of time?

I use my freedom often so having it be at 5k would be nice.

In past Chase policy was to leave $500 CL on card and otherwise could move CL. This use to be true with Amex Revolvers also.

Not sure how that policy is now for either.
