So DP has had the JetBlue card for a little over a year now. His CL is $11,600 (only card in the 5 digit range). We use the card for most things because we're big fans of flying JB. He received an upgrade offer to get the JetBlue Plus card in the mail. The offer did not include any bonus points, etc. I pointed out to him that there is currently a 60,000 bonus points offer floating around for new JetBlue Plus card apps. He decided to bite the bullet so he could get the 60,000 bonus points (instead of upgrading the original card) and was approved with a SL of $11,000.
Now obviously this makes the regular JB card obsolete but will Barclay's allow DP to move his regular JB card limit over to the new Plus card to get a total limit of $22,600? If so, does anyone know if you have to wait a certain amount of time before making the request?
This is GREAT information, thank you very much! Should he wait to call, or could he call ASAP to achieve this?
Thanks again, FinStar. Really appreciate this!
Just an update. After DP's account was credited with the 60,000 SUB he called Barclay and in about two minutes was able to move his entire JetBlue CL over to his JetBlue Plus card. Quickest call to a CCC that I've ever seen (even more shocked since it was Barclay!). No need to keep $500 on the card--they moved the full amount over.
