Anyone else have a Comenity card that doesn't report if it's at a zero balance each month? I called and they said they report only if there is activity. Not monthly reporting. Kinda sucks when you are trying to rebuild and show you are responsible.

That's the case with a lot of Comenity cards. If you need it to report, set it to charge some small bill each month.

Who cares if it doesn't report every month? Why do you want it to report every month?
It makes no difference as long as the tradeline reported the first time; it's on your credit report.
As long as it has reported the initial time as an open positive tradeline, you are "showing that you are responsble" and have the utilization padding. If it is a new account, you are dinged score wise for AAoA, but after 4-6 months, it is positively adding to your credit profile.... doesn't matter if it hasn't reported in 5 years...you just need it to report just that once.
The SCT cards are great because you don't take a double whammy (AAoA+Inquiry hit); that is why your score rebounds much quicker with SCT cards than HP cards.
You do need to show activity in order for new CLI's to appear.

My Fashion Bug card with Comenity is the same way. I used is purposely so that it wouldn't be deactivated from nonuse. Plus, like someone else stated, I needed to use it to show my increase in credit limit.

most comenity cards are that way especially shopping cart trick cards. I typically make a purchase from them every 3-6 months or so, so that they will report. I think my Victoria Secret card last reported a 1000 CL, when it actually has a $2950 CL. I guess I should by the DW something for me
I am rebuilding from 9 different cards that I had 3 years ago all getting charged off. I need as many months of positive reporting to help bring up my scores. This card is over a year old but I have to order something small every 3-6 months to get the card to report. I'll close the card once I close on my house in two weeks and get a couple new cards.

Reporting usually requires activity.
i.e. Only apply for what you will use often enough for it's reporting to mean anything.
