We're away on a trip and I logged into my Barney's account. Noticed a message at the top that said " your card is unavailable. Please contact customer service."
I searched a bit online and found an old 2015 post from CreditBoards mentioning that such a message related to having a Comenity digital card. Apparently, Comenity does not allow you to have both a digital card and a physical card.
The person on CreditBoards reported this happening with a different Comenity card than Barney's, so this message may help others on our board with different Comenity accounts as well.
I removed my digital card and the message immediately went away. Everything is fine with my account.
Just wanted to share with others so no one panics if you receive this message, especially given how strange Comenity is acting lately.
Love you, Comenity. You're the best.
(not)
Hope this helps someone.

Wow, had no idea Comenity had a Barney's card! I shop there close to exclusively and actually never paid attention to their store card offerings.
Just looked it up and seems like you have to spend at least $850 a month every month in order to really beat out the regular 2% cards. I will have to look back a few years to see what my annual spend is and if I'd even get to the 3% tier.
Did you cold app for that one? No SCT I assume?

It's a 46k credit line, so it can be helpful to have. I like the lightning fast shipping that Barney's offers as well as some of their interesting items.
Barney's Warehouse also offers regular sales on items marked down to $70 from $400. Really nice.
You will need to complete a regular online application for the card. It is via Comenity Capital Bank, rather than regular Comenity. Good luck! ![]()
I'll wait until I'm over 720, haha. Based on the free tailoring credit-refunds and other perks, this is a winning card for me for sure. Barneys is one of the few clothing vendors that sell my style (classic) and my size (fitted/athletic) and my material requirements (linen, wool, cotton only, no polyester or rayon). So it's a natural place to shop. Plus I have real Barneys stores close to home which helps.
Going to put it on my radar though. My EX sucks still (636) but I am hopeful for a near 100 point boost in the next 3-6 months.
