Today I visited Bed Bath & Beyond and the purchase was declined. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered, but I called in. After a long hold they informed me that even though the system reports available credit, the account is closed, and so the available credit can't be used. I was told a letter was sent that an internal audit found I had too many inquiries. Ridiculous... one more Experian inquiry, but one probably would've dropped off, so not sure how their math works.
Supposedly my Toyota and Total Rewards cards are fine, but after I accepted their 0% balance transfer offers, I am not using them for new purchases.
I was going to garden... Honest!
