Comenity now owns Jared's credit card.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this but in desperate need of some advice. About 6 months we bought a bridal set from Jared's and opened a credit card account. The special financing offer was for 155 dollars a month for 48 months. Everything is going great. Get the notice comenity is taking over the Jarads account. My new statement just cut 2 days ago and I found about an hour ago that my minimum payment is now close to 400.00. Is there anything that can be done about this? Of course I found all this out after they have already closed and I have no one to speak to about this. I'm sick to stomach just thinking about. Any suggestions at all would be helpful. I will be calling first thing in the morning but for now this is the only thing on my mind.

They accurately pulled all my old information over to Comenity, same balance and minimum payment as the old bank.  I would definitely give them a call and i'm sure they will resolve it for you.  Hope you are able to get it sorted out.  On another note, Jared dissapeared from my reports and Comenity hasn't reported yet, I wonder if it will take a few months before it shows up.

You're right, Jared appears as "closed" on our credit reports.  I was told it will be February 2018 when Comenity-Jared will appear on our credit reports.  To be honest, this was performed Bass-Ackwards as I'm sure they affected those who may have been in the process of purchasing a home where an account and its history is now closed, but the new account will not appear until nearly 3 months later.  Yikes!!!
