Comenity reporting early

I am currently gardening and in the rebuilding mode, so I pay my balances each month before statement cuts to keep my utilization at 0.

I just wanted to let people know that my Buckle Card reported my balance to EQ, EX and TU on 10/16 even though my statement date is 10/23.  I paid it as soon as I got my credit usage alert on 10/16 and my statement today says end of month balance 0.  LOL.  this is the second time they reported early.  It is only 3 % utilization, so not a huge deal but wanted to warn others in case you might carry a large balance and plan on paying it off right before statement cuts.

Hope that helps!

Same here! I have 6 cards with comenity and the 3 that I actually had balances on did report before the statement cut. Thank goodness I rarely use over 10-20% percent of my limit. It did lower my transunion and experian credit scores by 3- 6points. ( I changed my score alert settings on my fico today because of this. My nerves get a little jumpy when the scores bounce around like that.)  I wonder why they are reporting early? I always pay most of my balance before the statement cuts.
