Interested in the specifics. Which accounts were sent to Citi? Was this opt-in or opt-out or did Comenity and/or Citi designate accounts to transfer over? Were any converted from private label to Mastercard during the process? And of the accounts that stayed with Comenity, were they auto-converted into the Comenity Mastercard?
Feel free to read the 43 pages in the thread to catch up on the specifics.
No thanks, I already know I can do that and if I wanted to read 43 pages I would not have asked. It's unnecessary to suggest the obvious. And thanks to the two members that provided a summary, it's interesting how this one is being handled.
Something else I'm wondering about for those that opened an acct. only to have it closed one month later.....
1. Will Comenity recode the hp to sp or delete altogether?
2. Will Comenity delete tl?
3. Will Comenity delete tl and hp?
Example:
When HSN portfolio was pulled from Comenity and issued to Synchrony I closed my acct. My tl was completely wiped off of all 3 cb's. No history, none whatsoever. The only remnant, a hp.
When I tried to checkout with old Wayfair credit card through Comenity, I was told to call Citibank. When I contacted the number, the CSR stated I had to reapply with Citibank...four years post chpt 7 bk, I know I won't qualify.
My understanding is that Citibank will be the new bank for Wayfair.
I received the message in my inbox on Comenity's site August 21st. I have received no other communication. My wayfair CL was $14k at the time of closing. My balance is $1670. We bought a fixer upper in January. I used my credit cards to pay for materials so I had a hefty balance on Discover and AmEx. My scores dropped to around 705-710- as expected. I paid them off in June. My scores jumped back to around 775. I am guessing these changes are why I haven't been offered the new MC - score. I don't really want a citi wayfair card. I really hate that I be losing a huge part of my credit line. The way they handled this is pretty sad but that's the credit world.
No it's more than likely your limit that prevented you from conversion. I haven't seen any five figure limits I don't think that converted including mine which was $28000
I got a Welcome email (huh? thought it was closed), logged in and my acct. is still open. The available credit, stmts., pymts., everything is still intact. I found my card, called and it activated. Not sure if having two majors is a good thing or not with Comenity though.

There's been five figure limits converted.

Aside from trying to log into the Wayfair app or site and entering their new Comenity MC info, has anyone used the new card at just any old place? Online or otherwise for a purchase?
Or signed up on the new Comenity card site to see new transferred info? 🤔
Juuust wondering if the new MC card is working like a new card should. 🤷♀️

Used online, a Shake Shack (shame), and Trader Joe's (false redemption). No problems.
