Commenity Credit Audits..Shutting Down Cards

Glad I only have 3 accounts with them. Barney's, Overstock and SG Visa. Not planning to open any more and I only owe a small amount on Barney's. So, they can do what they want to me, I don't care.

It might be a good move for people to go through and selectively close some of their Comenity accounts.  I doubt anyone really needs more than three or so.  I'm just thinking if you want to have a say in which accounts stay and which go, maybe you can be proactive.

You can't really blame them.  Extending 100K of credit to people who are at 2 X or 3X income is really risky.  And if people don't use the accounts, it costs a lot of money to service and maintain them.  

So from a business perspective it makes sense.  People can learn from what is happening to others and try to get out ahead of it.

I'd be okay if they closed my accounts. The cards are butt ugly.

Have been trimming my Comenity accounts for a year or so, only 2 left and when one rolls to 2 years in January its gone leaving me with the only one I will keep.

Same... the two year reporting history has been preventing me closing accounts. 

They may close from inactivity in the interim.
