Continental Airlines Chase Credit Card Approved

I was just approved for Continental Airlines Chase Credit Card for $21,000. American Express Blue denied me yesterday due to too many inquiries and too high of a balance. At least I will have some rewards for flying.  I have a BoA Amex but I have a balance transfer on it so I am not acquiring any rewards at this time.

Re: Continental Airlines Chase Credit Card Approved

Congrats! I got this card last year, as I'm a frequent flyer on Continental. It's my favorite card. I've already gotten 2 free flights out of the deal. The points accumulate quickly. Smiley Happy

Oh good :-) Did you apply for Southwest too?  I am trying to figure out if I should go for one more like Southwest or US Airways. Southest is also Chase and US Airways is BoA.

Re: Continental Airlines Chase Credit Card Approved

Believe me, I only had two Federal Credit Union cards when I started this forum. Then with Cheddar's guidance I was approved with BoA Amex at $15,000 with a huge BT that maxed the card almost. I then finally got the courgage to go for Continental Airlines Presidental Master Card. I'm so excited, I am at the age where I want my rewards to help me with my travel so I can do more traveling.

So right now, my util is looking better.

AZFCU Visa = 0 balance CL $6,000 - 2 cards
TruWest Visa = $5,000 balance CL $12,000
BoA Amex = $13,000 balance CL $15,000
Chase Continental Presidental Master Card = 0 balance CL $21,000 (their 21st birthday...)

So what is my util now? Still too much I need to pay then down, but it is better...

Re: Continental Airlines Chase Credit Card Approved

I don't have the SW card, as I don't use that airline frequently. Two of my friends have that card and are very happy with it.Smiley Happy

Congrats again! That's a great limit, that will help lower your utilization!!

Experian. I was shocked to get approved because right before that I was denied for Amex card (who pulled Experian too) - they said I had too many inquiries and my balance was too high.
