Costco True Earnings AMEX

Does anyone know what credit is needed for a costco true earnings card??? Has anyone with less than 700 received one recently???? I recently joined costco and would love to have the card but only am in the mid 6s.

Unfortunately, I freaked out and applied last night before I knew my eq went up 35 pts. Doesn't look good already. Said I would get a card in 7-14 days IF I qualified and when I go online to check status, it says it cannot located me...ugh!!!!

Has anyone had success in recon'ing amex??? I wouldn't know what to say anyway.

Amex pulls EX. I have read it is one of the harder to get from them, so good luck.

i got it a couple months ago score upper 700's though. applied in store. instant decision. they even give you a temporary card you can use only in the store.

Applied online as a Costco Executive Member with EX in the 700-720 range, given instant approval.

Good luck! It's my most favoritest card of any card ever.

Sorry to say but a bit of patience will be needed

The procedure for Costco American Express True Earnings Card if you are applying over the internet is that when you apply, the first thing that American Express does is to pull your purchase history from Costco. This can take a few days to complete depending on how fast Costco transmits the data to American Express.

Then Amex reviews your Costco data and your credit report data and internally determines whether to issue you a card.

If Amex approves you, your Costco True Earnings limit will be partially based on your Costco spending habits.

DH was approved for one in April 08, with an EX score of 754.  He apped online and got the 7-10 days.  His other scores were all much lower, but they did pull EX.

Not a good sign....I'm not sure about AMEX's online app status checker. Every time I try to check it says that my application cannot be located...something about my ssn and zip code not matching... ugh!!! just tell me no, if the answer is no, so i can move on with my life.

WTG!

Be sure to call them to activate the card when you get it.

I thought I had activated online and it didn't take.

That 3% rebate on gas is 12 cents a gallon at $4.00 per.
