Costco visa

Hi,

I applied today for Cotsco visa, and I have been declined,

but now I  received a e-mail from cotsco where it says, use your cotsco visa everywhere for qualify discounts and shows products that have discounts if use the visa card.

I check my cotsco profile account and do not show any card there. I am confusing now.

Did anyone here get declined and then approved?  Did Cotsco have knowledge if anyone is approved or declined?

Re: Cotsco visa

Interesting for sure. Maybe the emails are generated when one apps for the card? Have you called Citi for follow up?

Re: Cotsco visa

Those are ads they send to all members. You don't need to have the card to get the ads.

I got my Costco Visa by PCing an AA card in early 2017. Yet I have emails from 2016 talking about the total 4 years of warranty on computers when using the card.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Re: Cotsco visa

If you mean Costco, as stated above, it's a general email sent to all members. Even ones without card.

@Anonymous, as echoed upthread, the emails are generic communications.  If you were to call the Citi application status line, it'll confirm the results from your earlier application.

Re: Cotsco visa

Assuming you mean Costco (I mention because you said "Cotsco" about five times and I don't know if there may be a store with a similar name), the emails are just promos enticing everyone who receives them to use/apply for the card. It is not targeted to you, beyond your Costco membership.
