Hi all,
If I use ChargeSmart to pay an auto loan bill, will Chase/Amex see that as a cash advance? Or will it be a regular credit payment?

No, they won't see it as a cash advance.

Hey! I used them for the first time this month to make an extra payment towards the principal balance on the mortgage. Do you use ChargeSmart all the time or is this your first time? How do you like it?
This is just an opionion but it makes sense to be a purchase transaction. If they are processing it as a cash advance people would be better off going to the ATM with their credit card and paying the bill in cash to avoid a fee from the bank and ChargeSmart.

It usually only makes sense for meeting minimum spend goals. Or are you getting rewards on the payment that outweigh the fee.
