Chase pulled two when I applied.
OK, OK, OK.
But you both are newer to the fun world of credit, and maybe they wanted more than they saw on the first report? That's not the norm for Chase, although it might be for State Farm (can't remember the posts on that one.)

Perhaps. My oldest account was six years old. My other was three years. I wouldn't call it new exactly, though. Perhaps they didn't like that I only had two accounts at the time and thus pulled a second report.
maybe! my reports are mostly the same. ironically, they pulled my best report first (TU), and then pulled EQ as a follow-up.
CAP ONE pulls all three.
CCCU pulled EX hard and EQ soft.
I think target pulled two reports when I applied and was denied
In the past, Amex pulled my EX and EQ reports, and Discover pulled my EX and TU reports. All of the other CCCs I have applied with only pulled from one CRA.
