I prefer not to keep a balance on any cards and do not as of yet, I like to pay everything off before the statement due date and then stop using the card till it reports for that month. For banks like American Express and Chase which offer credit cards, it seems like they do not like people not paying off their balances within a few months, could anyone concur with this notion? Maybe small balances are not much of concern but probable over 1k or2k I'm sure they may get nervous. So I wonder when people say their bank closed my account even though I was always on time with my payments maybe its the fact that a customer was carrying a balance of 1-2k and had a late on another card which the issuing bank would probably see as a concern. I am sure some people carrying higher balances must slip through the cracks.
