Credit Cards with high starting limits

Looking for credit cards that offers a high starting limit. I've only opened two cards in the last 2 years (the two below) and utilization is around 7%. Capital One has never been friendly to me as they only tend to offer their "one" product for some reason, so their a no-go. Amex's pre-approval site has offered me a few of their cards (Plat,  Blue Cash Preffered, everyday) and citi shows i'm pre-approved for 3 cards as well (premiere, AA, and custom cash). Does anyone have experience getting a high starting limit on any of those cards? If not any recommendations?

My two highest limits are 25k & 30k (first tech financial and X1) and my credit limit is currently about 110k.

Re: Credit Cards with high starting limits

Amex is a good place to start with and it gives reasonable CL and later on, you might be able to get CLI up to ~25k, if using PIF. You may search in this forum to find examples. Otherwise, you can look into some CUs like Affinity (the CUs give typically larger CL).

BOA (CCR, UCR), Chase (CFF, CSP, Amazon, CIC, CIU), US Bank (Cash+, AR, Go, Ralphs), Discover, Citi (CCC, DC, SYW), Amex (BCP, HH, Biz Gold, BBC, BBP), Affinity CR, Cap1(Walmart), Barclays View.

I got an amex, BCP, scores slightly over yours, 32,600 a couple months ago. I realize every approval is profile dependent. But amex can go big on a CL out the gate. Pretty good sub if you can swing it. Good luck.

Re: Credit Cards with high starting limits

If you qualify for Navy Federal CU, the Flagship card tends to start off pretty high (I've seen $50k to $80k), with a max of $80k. I think their Platinum card also gets into the $30k range. They seem pretty generous with credit limits, from what I've seen from others here.

I think Pen Fed CU's Pathfinder card can start up around $50k also.

You mentioned Citi, but I think Chase Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire Reserve also might get you decent limits, and I think they still have a pre-qual link.

Re: Credit Cards with high starting limits

AmEx BCE starting credit limit $5700

90 day 3x CLI to $17100

CLI again, still less than a year after opening, $35k even (amount requested)

Thank you, I am leaning towards amex as well as a few credit unions.

Re: Credit Cards with high starting limits

I do know that only my first card was a hard pull. But please make sure you apply for the subsequent cards while logged into your account. (The website should direct you to do that anyway, but just throwing that out there.)

There was a report here just the other day of someone getting a $30k SL on the BCE.

Once you get your first Amex card, subsequent applications for other Amex cards are almost invariably SP.
