Does anyone have a list of credit & debit cards that have chip and pin built into them?
So far for debit cards i called chase, wellsfargo, usbank via debit card department and they dont have chip and pin on debit cards so far.
as for credit cards i called chase and they said my freedom card doesn't have a chip and pin design yet. same for discover.
but my wellsfargo does have it so i didn't bother calling them since my personal card has it built in and looks fancy ![]()
There's a great thread over on FlyerTalk that has all the chip-and-pin cards.
The three that I know of off the top of my head:
1. PenFed <--- true chip-and-pin
2. Barclaycard Arrival <---- will default to chip-and-signature. Will use in chip-and-pin at terminal that don't allow chip-and-signature.
3. Barclaycard Hawaii Airlines credit card <---- will default to chip-and-signature. Will use in chip-and-pin at terminal that don't allow chip-and-signature.
Chase announced that their cards will be switching over to chip-and-pin later this year. I would expect the CSP to be the very first to get it.
Here's the list the previous poster referenced: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ani-u3tGk5hedGRvcE1ELVg5UmlGZk01SHZvTUMxdUE#gid=0

Which PenFed is true chip&pin? The one I have (well had because they just replaced it) defaults to chip&sig and doesn't allow PIN change in an ATM. This is the Plat Rewards card.

I called Chase about a chip & pin for my Freedom as I'm heading to Ireland next month. They said they don't have.
You are correct, it is actually only chip & signature. My apologies - I don't know why I said chip & pin.

She told me they didn't have either. That I could put a pin on my regular card to use, but that was it.
