AAoA is Average Age of Accounts. The longer, the better. That's calculated in months from all open and closed accounts that appear on your reports. Just add up the total number of months they have all been open and divide by the number of accounts. Say you have an open card that is 12 months, a closed card that is 36 months, an auto loan that is 18 months, and a student loan that is 60 months. Total months is 126, divided by four accounts is 31.5 months, close to three years. Now add a brand new credit card account and the months open remains 126, but you'll divide it by five accounts. That's 25.2 months, just barely over two years where many credit profiles will see a noticable score drop if they drop below 24 months AAoA.
Many Chase cards have a 5/24 rule, where you will be automatically denied if you have opened 5 or more credit cards (including those you only an authorized user on and store cards) in the past 24 months.
AAoA = average age of accounts
These go along with AAoA:
AoOA = age of oldest account
AoYA = age of youngest account
People talk about AAoA a lot, but I think AoOA and AoYA are probably more relevant to a credit application.
5/24 means that Chase will likely deny applications if one has opened five or more cards in the past 24 months.
my average age of accounts is 10-11 years I believe

That age of accounts implies you have had several different types of accounts.
Mortgage?
Auto loan or lease?
Lines of credit? For your business?
Which banks do you have accounts with, for checking, credit? Those banks may have CC that are relevant.
What sort of rewards are are you looking for? Cash back? Airline miles? General travel points? There are several variations of reward type. There is quite a lot available, and your opportunities may take some time for you to fully sort out. It’s a good problem to have ![]()
