Hi Guys -
My credit card says I had 2 capitalone card, which I did, however, I had called capitalone up about 3 years ago to get re issued a credit card due to me losing my card and to prevent someone from using it. My credit report reflects this as a closed account in perfect standing, however, I was wondering if there is anyway that the credit bureaus can merget these 2 accounts (since there in all actuallity the same) into one account, or at least mention why I closed a credit card.
im thinking this looks bad, right? Plus this would increase my years of the account?
I had one more question, how much would my score increase if I take off 2 late payments on a credit report. I can prove there the ones that messed this up, but is it worth my time even.
Thanks Guys
Regarding my USbank Credit card, equifax does not reflect this, so im going to dispute this...SInce I am on a debt help program. So its not delinquent. Also, chase CC was 2 years delinquent, wont be off until 2013, issues 2005, is there any miracles that I can get this off my credit report. There were like 3 different collection agencies (changing hands every so often) that tried to collect, and I finally paid with the 3rd one. Is there any chance that this may get taken off?
Thanks Guys
Bump!

Here's why. You're getting double the credit available which improves your utilization. Also you're getting double the aging which helps AAoA's.

Anytime you can get a negative removed you must go for it. Unfortunately there's no way to predict how much your score would go up but it will go up.
Good Luck
1) Leave the dup account alone as long as it's age is older than your AAoA. If lower then have it removed. I wish I had a dup reporting of one of my older accounts. Might even be worth losing a card to make it happen.
2) The CBR's will not remove the lates by dispute as long as they "verify". You have to GW this with the issuer.
