I would definitely wait 6 mos before approaching BOFA.  You can go o their site and check to see ifthey will offer you a preapproval if you have not done so already.

Yeah I looked on their website and here are the offers they pre-approved me for: -The Bank of America Platinum Plus Visa -The Bank of America Rewards American Express Card -The Bank of America BankAmericard Rewards Card All of which had 0% APR on Purchases and Balance Transfers and (I Think Cash Advances) for 12 Months. And low APR's after that. I am just not sure if I should apply for the Signature card because in the application fine print it says that you must be approved for 5000.00 or more and on the pre-approved offers it says that my limit would be 1500.00 so I am just not sure what to do. Is it possible that I would qualify for a higher limit then they say on the internet?? Would a better score up how much of a limit they would give me?

To be honest. from all I've red, the pre-apps are probably going to be the best they will offer.  I've see too many declines after getting the preapps to trust that tey would not come back with a 99/500 secured offer.  Give it six more months and check again.

I haven't checked my credit score since may...do you think i should check it now or in six months or both? I just want to make sure if I check it now my new accounts show up...or should i wait till jan???
