I made a mistake to apply for credit one. I haven't get the card from mail yet. If I don't activate the card. Credit one will cancel the account and not report my credit like experian etc correct? I want BoA secured card instead
Sorry it's my first post
You've already taken the AAoA hit and score impact (if any). If you were approved for the card it's going to report.

If you do choose to close this card (a decision I fully support as Credit One is Evil), then I strongly suggest that you actually call to cancel, rather than rely on never activating the card to automatically cancel it for you. As long as you don't activate, they should refund the annual fee and close it out, but if you never call, they never close, and you get billed for the AF.
No, it will not report per my experience.
Shortly before finding this board, I apped and was approved. I did not activate and I cancelled my new card once received.
The only evidence of credit one in my report is the HP.
Generally speaking, activation is just a security measure, has nothing to do with account opening setup closing etc.
In your case, you MUST call to close account and ask nicely or beg them not to report the account to CB

Impressive! There's a first time for everything. Chalk the previous post up to the first communication by anyone ever of solid Credit One customer service! lol
Good for you! Personally, I wouldn't touch Credit One with the proverbial ten-foot pole. It seems to me that their target market is people who are really, really desperate for credit so that they'll swallow and pay the fees they charge (not to mention endure their bad customer service).
