Re: Credit report question

bump for more definitive answers..

- - I think most do so after statement cuts, amex is slower though.

if you have a monitoring service, TC, privacymatters and pull daily, you will see a change in balances and than know which TL reported what date

Re: Credit report question

I agree with Sonority.  The only way to know for sure is to check your reports.  The TC 3-in-1 reports show the full Date Reported on TU and EX, but not EQ (where it just shows month and year).  Hard copy reports directly from CRAs also show the full date.  All MyFico reports show only month and year.

I have had little success trying to get this information from CSRs.  Mostly they either don't know what I'm talking about or they give me incorrect information.

Regarding Orchard, they report on the last business day of the month, and they report the balance as of that date, regardless of what the balance was on the last statement.  (I got dinged for that the first time my Orchard card reported.  Statement cut on the 16th showing 4% UTIL, which was the balance I was expecting to report.  Imagine my surprise when they reported the 16% UTIL that I had on the last day of the month.)

Re: Credit report question

It depends on the individual cc. My new BoA cc started reporting immediately, while it took my WaMu cc almost 2 months.

Of course the best thing to do, is to call them and ask.

Not in my experience. Smiley Tongue

I have been given wrong information several times when I called to ask this question.  One CCC told me they would report at the end of the month.  Actually, they reported on the statement date.

Another told me they didn't have that information and there was no way I could possibly get that information.

Other CSRs have told me "I don't understand what you are asking."

Script-reading CSRs don't help much when you ask a question that only 0.5% of the public would ask.

Re: Credit report question

Using a back door number and talking to an acct. specialist has always worked for me.

Guess it depends on the cc and the knowledge of the CSR.

Exactly.  I would expect an Amex CSR, for example, to be able to answer this question correctly.

But as far as the TLs that OP mentioned, I wouldn't hold my breath. Smiley Happy

Re: Credit report question

Call your creditors and ask them
FICO scores on November 17, 2014 (prior to applying for and being approved my mortgage)

EX=738
EQ=735
TU=754

FICO scores on March 4, 2015 after being approved for mortgage and buying the home, the mortgage isn't yet reporting.

Re: Credit report question

Pull your CRs daily and monitor.  I have an EQ reporting "problem" on mine.  Whatever day of the month the CC reports to them, they put the date as the first of the month.  So the only way is to watch daily.

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
