Declined for Shell

due to too many recent inquires:  Here is where we're at:

Three Inquiries due to Possible HELOC (under the 45 day window)

Two Inquiries for new auto (both same day)

Three credit cards, two with small cl ($300 & $500)

I'm thinking a reconsideration is in order?  I'm hoping Shell would take that into account if it were explained over the phone!!!!

That sucks.  Sorry to hear.

For recon you may want to send a letter.  It's easier to lay out your case when you have time to craft it so it's exactly what you want to say, rather than trying to find the right words at the spur of the moment on the phone.

Shell is issued by Citi, BTW.  FICO only counts your 8 inquiries as 5, as I'm sure you know, but Citi still sees them all, and can count them any way they want.  Good luck in your recon!
