@Remedios wrote:Last time I asked via chat , I was offered permanent APR reduction or another 12 months of 0% promo.
I think you have to wait 6 months after 0% ends if you want another one, completely ignorant on timing between APR reduction requests
Another thing, if you ask, sometimes they will offer another cashback match period, but often with shorter duration, like 6 months or something like that.
Chat works just fine.
Good to know -- thank you. Adding to my to-do list. I might opt for the CB match, if offered. That's a tangible $$$ benefit.
Congrats!
Congrats on the fabulous APR reduction! ![]()
Former cards:DMB Titanium MC @ 90-day, 0% grace period | $4k BEFCU MC @ 5.49% F | $21.9k Citi DPR @ 5.99% F | Chase Platinum MC @ Prime+1.67% |
I tried chatting for an apr redux the other night as my Chrome ends its first year this month. First, that chat feature is incredibly slow, my only complaint, .looks like my 0 apr doesnt end til March so ill have to wait another month to ask. My It still is on an additional 12month promo they offered last year.
Congrats op![]()
Congrats!
I decided to try too. 17.74 -> 15.74. I'm happy with that. ![]()
TIL you can get another helping of Cashback Match (for a shorter term) as an option for an offer from Miss Disco...
Thanks @Remedios ... Also if you get the timing right you can stack a 0% offer on top of a already established BT offer... Makes your card useful even if theres a BT offer already on it....
Didn't know this.. And im pretty experienced with playing the APR redux and offer game with Miss Disco...
Did you know this @averagejoescredit ?

I'm pretty sure it's six months between requests for APR reduction. Pretty sure, but not certain.
It *is* 6 months between APR reduction requests..
You got this Remmy =)

Yep. 6 months between approved APR reductions, 18 months between 0% offers (12 months at 0% and 6 months at regular APR).
When I asked for an APR reduction today I was asked if I want a low overall APR or a promo APR so I'm assuming I had both options on the table. I'm probably going to ask for a 0% in December so I don't have to open a new card to have a promo APR for another year.
Congrats on the APR reduction. Get your scores higher, and you might be able to get the APR even lower than 13.49%. I've never asked for an reduction, and mine is at 12.49%. So it's certainly possible with higher scores.
