I've had a Discover card since May of 2012. I received an auto CLI once and my limit has sat at $4,500 since Feb. of this year. Just went online to request an increase and they bumped me to $6,000 with no hard pull. How often can I request a CLI once I've had an approved request?

Congrats! That is awesome!!! See! Time pays off ! lol jk. Anyway most folks with a card that is at least ayear old have the best luck going every 91 days. Some do it every 30 or 60 though. I would use ur card more, max out the 5% categories just buy gift cards to resell if you have to, and put a small BT on it. Trust me. It will get huge fast. Ask again in 61 days.
Just because you arent having luck on a card means give up. Rotate them around and give them love. Now that discover has done this, use it.
Thanks so much for this thread.
I had been playing the CLI button every 3-4 months with luck every time, yesterday I tried again after about 45 days and got a 2 day notice. Log in today to see it was bumped another $1,500. The card is 13 months old I've gone from $1200 to $5500 after 2 auto CLI and 4 that I requested, all soft pulls. Brings total CL over $11k for me, I'm so stoked to be in the 5-digit club now!!
I was approved a year ago (Aug 2015) for $2500.
1st cli at day 91 was $500. I declined it.
I tried for another CLI 3 weeks later and got $1500. ($4k limit)
Feb 2016 - received $4.5k ($8.5k limit)
March - received 2 day message, cli $3k ($11.5k limit)
May - 2 day message, cli $3k ($14.5k limit)
June - 2 day message, cli $3k ($17.5k limit)
August (no annual cli) - 2 day message, cli $4k ($21.5k)
My statement should cut any day now. I am waiting to see if I get any kind of annual cli before I request again. I also will request an apr reduction. My usage has been sporadic. I rarely used it Jan - June because of the categories. I expect to hit $20k this week. $2500 to $21.5k in a year is pretty sweet.
8/21/16- edited to update August cli. My goal was to get to $20k. I don't anticipate asking for any more cli's.

That's awesome! I've had a Discover Card for 4 years now and am sitting at $6,000. After seeing the success in this thread I'm going to request a CLI as often as I can and start putting a lot more usage on that card if they keep approving my requests.
Mind sharing your annual income? I'd love to hit 5 digits but I'm only making $42,500 as a med student...
My recent Discover stats...
SL 2500
Auto CLI after 3 statements 3800
Hit CLI button next day 6800
Thanks to MyFico encouraging me to hit the button... I was going to wait a month or two.. This is my first self-initiated CLI.

Well, today's a good day, I guess. Denied CLI a month ago, and tried again today and approved, $2K -> $3K, a 50% increase. Can't complain about that. Progress is progress, and validation is its own reward. I've been wanting to make this my go-to card while the rewards are doubled during the first year, but that limit was making it difficult. This increase should help, although it won't be my full go-to card until it's at least double what it is now.
Posted this in approvals, but since it looks like this thread has a lot of DPs, I thought I'd drop mine in here too.
Approved for the Discover IT card in Feb. 2015 with a $3,500 SL.
A handful of $1,000 CLI during the 16 day craze in the middle of 2015. Since then, I always get the 2 day review message every time I click the button (about every 30 days or so).
Last week I received my last increase to $44,000. So over $40k in increases in about 18 months. No other card has grown even close to that much... not even my Amex that I have had since '07.
Very nice growth there! At what points typically have we seen Discover perform a financial review and/or what are the max limits you all know of Discover growing to for anyone?
