Logged into discover.com to check a pending transaction and saw the chat live button.  I asked them for a CLI from 3500 to 5000 without a hard pull on my credit.  The lady asked income/length of employment/monthly housing cost but said it was all an internal check.  They increased to 4000. Better than nothing!

How long have you had the card before you got an increase?

Got the card 02/2010 high balance 1118 with a 3500 line current balance 450.  I didn't want to try the online tool bc i thought it would pull a hard but was able to do it through chat.

This is the message I received when requesting to increase my limit with out a hard pull. 

Agent: Federal regulations require us to consider a consumer’s debt obligations before increasing a credit line. In order to do this, we need to obtain a copy of your credit report.
