Discover CLI?

Not sure, this might belong in Applications, if so please move on over. 

So tried pushing the button and got the Web server is having maintenance. So tried it again but this time it said my request is pendning and needs 2 days. I hit the chat button just make sure a HP wasn't done. She said it wasn't but tried putting in a new request since she said she didn't see any. Well then she tells me it says my original one went through but i need to call the CLI Specialist team. 

My question is: Will they ask to do a HP if i call? Like is that the dreaded call message? Or if i don't call will they call me?

All you can do is call. They will tell you if they need a HP. I've gotten CLIs with them every time without a HP. The key is waiting a good amount of time in between (aside from that brief 16 day fad, their policy was, I believe, always 90 days in between).

This.  I've received CLI's with and without HP's from Discover but I was notified before an HP was done and had the option to back out.

No go at this time they said. They wanted a HP but j had to decline. Will try again in the future. My account is 1 year old this month. No harm no foul though.

I got a nice CLI when my Discover hit 12th statement; it was auto-raised from $2k to $5.7k. My second highest was SMMC at 3k then. This after Discover didn't give me any SP CLI in that year; my first CLI was an HP, from $750 to $2k.

I didn't know about asking large numbers and countering, I thought if the large number didn't go through they'll just flat out deny, so I played safe.
