Discover Card Blacklist

Do you have any clue on how long Discover blacklists? I have a few more cards that I LOVED and held on until my fingers were pried from them. I'd love to work on getting them back if possible.

Re: Discover Card Blacklist

@Blazesian, I'm not sure about the time period, but I do know from personal experience that Discover does "forgive".

I burned them in a BK7 years ago (2000) and a couple of years ago I got approved for another card with them for $5500, which is now at $21k.  I might could have tried sooner than I did... I had some other setbacks between my BK7 and the present that caused me to have to wait longer than I otherwise would have.

I'm sure some others on here will be along shortly to give their input.  Smiley Wink

Re: Discover Card Blacklist

Honestly, I have not checked. I don't intend to try for at least three years. I am just wondering if it will even be a possibility at that time.

Re: Discover Card Blacklist

If you're contemplating BK right now, you probably shouldn't get any new accounts period.  Focus on what you owe and what you want to try to salvage post-BK.  If you burned Discover once already and get back in and burn them a second time, don't expect them to lend to you again!

Re: Discover Card Blacklist

In my case they got in my BK and they denied me three times from 2001 to 2010. Finally regained a credit record that allowed me to obtain a card. There increasing my CL was cautiously slow.
