Hey friends! Just wanted to stop by and share my success with combining my two Discover accounts. I have one that was opened in 2001 and one that was opened in 2017. I wanted to roll the new one into the older one and was able to do it by calling in. They said they had to check if my account had a credit limit increase available on it which it did, for a whopping $500 bucks LOL. After I accepted the little increase they transferred me to "New Accounts" and I explained what I wanted to do. They put me on hold for a few mins, then came back and confirmed that I wanted to close the card that I asked to close. Then they said okay account is irrevocable closed and your new credit line on your remaining account is $31,000. Discover is now my largest credit line. Not bad for someone who once ONLY had a Discover card with a $1500 limit that wouldn't budge for 10 years LOL. :-)
