Discover Directpay

I received an offer in the mail for $10 if I signed up for Discover DirectPay.  I'm wondering, does Discover let the balance post or will it pay the balance before the statement cuts (most likely not I'm guessing).  Thanks!

Interesting question, aren't there payment options that you can set in terms of how much and when for all these services?

Actually, now that I'm thinking on it, it probably doesn't even trigger until after the statement has cut / the bill has been issued.  Yeah I think we're sort of SOL as I was just considering your idea to be smart for easy management out of a Bill Pay interface, but I think it's skewed by a month for what we're trying to do with micromanging reported balances when it matters.

Re: Discover Directpay

I never use direct or auto pay services anymore.  I had a very bad experience over a decade ago.  In the end it did not cost me any money, but I had checks bouncing all over the country.  Everyone was very understanding, except for the local phone company that started it all by adding two extra zeros to my bill accidently.  It still created too much aggravation.  I use my CUs online bill pay and I have made mistakes, but that is okay... I can deal with my stupidity Smiley Happy
