I have never heard of Discover being unwilling to pull TU if EQ is frozen. I always thought only Amex and Chase were adamant about pulling a certain bureau. Good to know.Lol seems like you didn't get it. I had applied for a Discover last month and they pulled TU which was declined. So I went ahead to reapply this evening thinking they would pull TU again which was not frozen. Equifax was on ice so the analyst told me they tried to pull EQ but couldn't. She never asked about TU or EX, just told me to unfreeze the EQ and call back which really works in my favor anyways... Chase always pull EX for me and as for AMEX I can't remember what they pull cos it's been a while I applied for their product.
Oh I understand quite clearly. And I reiterate that I have never known Discover to be adamant that you unfreeze EQ in order to process app. I have heard that about Amex and Chase and even Citi. But, this is the first I have seen Discover do that. Many many have reported that they applied with EQ frozen and called in and asked that they pull TU and there was no problem. Hope it all works out for you and they pull it before it goes back on ice.

Actually I'm glad they didn't pull TU cos I was beginning to accumulate inquiries (5 at the moment) so I needed to even out the dings across the board. Luckily EQ had only one INQ so I was really stoked when they opted for it. They never knew they were doing me a huge favor lol but it all went down good in the end tho. Thanks ![]()

Felicitations.
In the mean time, I think we need to support Discover for their US based customer service.
