So if I do a follow-up call-in, do I tell them I just received a CLI but need a higher increase than the $1,500 or what? What is the etiquette/formula here?

I believe the etiquette is don't mention it and just call them to request a CLI. I have never done the DD myself.

Gotta be honest, while we are shrugging at the causes for 4506t requests, I'm not about to draw attention to myself by going for a DD.
That's certainly a valid point for a lot of people. After 3.5 years I'm finally almost to 5% of income with Discover after a decent CLI in December, so if it meant a big CLI I'd 4506-T away.

Congratulations on your CLI!
No fear of the 4506-T......they can dig all they want. Think I may just call this one a success anyway. It was larger than my last one ($1000) so I can't complain too much. I just want all my cards to be 10k-20k.....I want to join the 100k+ credit club.

So I'm no huge expert on the matter, but the verbaige I read from other members here to use is something along the lines of "So I just had my limit increased. I'm greatful for the increase, but is there any way that we could go higher with that?" I used almost those exact same words when I tried and they gave me an extra $400 without batting an eye. My account was 3 statements +1 day old at the time and it was my first CLI with them. Whatever you decide, good luck and a big congrats on the increase you already received! 🙂
For the people that constantly hit the button, do you keep putting in the same income? I'm going to start trying to increase the CL on my Discover since I'm gardening until August and these are SPs usually. I'll be getting a raise in April, but if I keep entering in the same income every month, will they keep giving CLIs? Are the CLIs pretty small to allow you to do it every month? From what I read here, I suppose with Discover, it is a mystery anyway....
