Discover Open Road Card

I am a student with a 610 credit score. I recently got approved for the Discover Open Road card. My cashback states that I can earn "Double Cashback Bonus automatically on my first $250 in purchases at gas stations and restaurants each month". I read somewhere that this is 5% on the first $100 and 2% after? Is that correct.

No you get 2% for up to $250 in purchases. This (atleast for me) makes the more a better card in terms of rewards on gas a restaurants.

In my opinion, the Discover web site does a lousy job of explaining the very subtle differences between their different cards.
