Hi myFICO friends! This is my first post. I am working on my credit and have been checking prequalifying offers online for many weeks now. I'm now getting what appears to be legitimate offers for both Amex and Discover. Can I have some input on what I'm receiving??
Discover, says "we found a personalized offer for you - the Discover it Card"
It's showing 0% intro APR for 14 months then standard 13.99-16.99% variable APR. 3% for each balance transfer. I am very intrigued by the 0% intro and APR is decent and at the lower/middle range of the spectrum for them. They also have a cashback match for the first 12 months of using the card. How great!? I wasn't planning on applying for anything until November/December 2017 but might try to earlier now. I want to hold off for at least another month until my utilization drops and reports.
As for Amex, I'm getting prequalified for Blue Cash Everyday and Everyday card with a set 17.99%.
Can I have some input from you all on these?
As background, my Fico scores are currently 672 EX, 669 EQ and 668 TU. I have 0 inquiries on EX and EQ and 3 on TU that will fall off by December. Utilization ranges between 50-70% (I know this is high hence why I wasn't planning on applying until later this year. I plan to bring utilization down significantly over the next few months. Hoping to bump my scores up by 20-30 points by end of year.
