Discover Reporting

Don't know if this is common knowdlege but I asked asked them about reporting times and this is what they responded.

Good morning,

Thank you for your recent message regarding your Discover account. I am happy to assist you today.

Your account cycle date (also called the statement closing date) is the 24th of every month. Any purchases that post between 19th and 24th will appear on your January statement, and your payment will be due the following month on 19th

I understand how important it is to know this information and I am happy to assist you today!

Re: Discover Reporting

Without knowing what your real question is, the CSR is vague (and could be wrong) on the timing depending on what they meant by "January Statement", if it means statement on 12/24 then he/she is correct, if it means 1/24 statement then it's wrong.

Basically any charges posted between 11/24/18 to 12/24/18 will make the 11/24/18 statement and is due on 1/19/19, charges between 12/24-1/24 will be due on 2/19...so on and so forth. Grace period is generally 20-25 days after statement date depending on the lender, in this case it's 25/26 days depending on days in that month.

Edit : This is assuming you are not or have not been carrying a balance therefore grace period is in place.
