Discover Secured the Big Question

My 7th statement cuts on 3/18 and from what I've heard lately a lot of people get their card unsecured a couple days after their 7th statement cuts!

So I'm hoping I too will join the ranks of having an unsecured Discover card Smiley Happy

FICO all 650's were 670's-680's but recently BT'd my fiancée's debt onto my Navy card to avoid high interest.

My FICO score when I opened the Discover Secured was 612 so it's better now.

Re: Discover Secured the Big Question

Good luck!!! My 7th statement cuts on the 24th! So I'm hoping for the best as well. I use the card like crazy. I put literally all spending on it I can (typically $1400- $2000 every month). It sucks because it's only at a $1k limit so I have to make multiple payments every month. Hope Discover see's this.

I've decided to let it sit for the next week with $9 on it and if they don't graduate the card this statement, I'm going to let it sit and begin using my PenFed cash rewards card for my daily driver. We shall see! I'd like to keep using my Discover because of the cash back match in first year but it's such a pain in the rear making multiple payments every month.

Anyway, good luck!!!

12 months and scores ranging from 690-709 and still secured here. I appear to be the exception, rather than the rulle though. I am sure you will graduate just fine. Enjoy when it happens, its a good card to have.

I'm a little confused, what's the big question? Will your card unsecure? Not sure, who can say, but best of luck.

MyLo - I think you got in before the new policy began?

Creditguy - Yep that's the Big Question and only Discover can answer it.

Lol did you burn Discover before? I'd think with those scores you'd be good. Do you have a BK?

I had a CH7 that fell off in 2010 but they weren't in it. I have never had any dealings with them before.
