My Discover it started at $10K. Never asked for a CLI. They bumped it to $13K, then just recently to $16K. **bleep**!! ![]()

If it was an instant approval, call and do the double dip. This is when you request a higher CLI with a SP. If they say they will have to do a HP, decline the HP.
Why decline the hardpull? I have gone from 7K to 15.5K with a hardpull with Discover and most recently from 15.5K to 21K. The hardpull has always paid off from my experience with Discover.

I'm sure that was meant only in the event OP is avoiding HPs for any reason.
All 3 of my CLIs have come after a 2 day message. The first two were $500. and then this one for $2700. I'm avoiding HPs until my BK falls off. I want to see how high my scores will go. Generally I wouldn't take a HP for a CLI. That might only provide me with a few thousand while a HP for a few card could be good for $10K+.
Sort of of topic, but this thread sounds like you should request a cli with this card at 3 months. This was something I did not know. I got this card a couple of months ago and had not really thought of when to ask for one. I got a decent SL of 12k from the start so was not thinking I should tempt them anymore.
what are everyone’s thoughts? Do most request them or just wait for an increase to be offered? My TU score is almost 80 points higher than when I was approved, but I don’t think they pulled that one on the initial approval anyway so not sure if it matters.

How old was the account before they just gave you one?
I had a $6000 SL instant approval when I first got my card. It was the smallest SL of all my cards but I used it for everything and PIF for 3 months then hit the love button and got $3000 CLI. I dont know if was the spend or not, I was just trying to maximize the cash match for the year.
I would take it. When my 3rd statement cut they auto increased my limit by $800.00. I then immediatly went to their website and pushed the luv button and they gave me $300.00 more.
