My bk7 discharge was August 14th 2019. My question is I burned them for like 1200$ total between a Discover Miles and IT Card. I prequal alot since it is just a soft hit. and they always never have offers due to status of prior discover card. When should this ease up? Ive seen posts for approvals on here for people that iib them for thousands and getting back with them after like two years. It just seems kinda random esp since ive reestablished good credit. Any advice?
I have never seen Disco approving after only a few years if they were included in BK, they have a longer memory than most.
Maybe they will approve you for a secured card at some point, but until then, that message will keep popping up .
A few approvals that did happen were a few years after paid charge off.

No I did not burn them in BK.
That user never burned Discover in the first place. See message #5 in your linked thread.
Some people can get back in when the account and/or bk falls off and some can't. I burned discover in 2001 and still can't get back in. I check the prequal every so often just to see and it stills states previous relationship. So UMMV
I was approved for Discover I want to say 27 months post BK7. I tried to find my post but couldn't locate it. Discover was IIB so it can be done. I kept checking the pre-qual site on a monthly basis until it finally provided an offer.
I've since been approved for a second card.
Maybe I'm a unicorn because I also got back in with Barclays after burning them in BK. 🤷🏼♂️

Unicorn for sure because Barclays is well known to ban you for life if you burn them.

I got back in via a preapproved offer about six-eight months post discharge IIRC. It was strange but received instant approval and subsequent auto CLI. I don't use the card much any more albeit the occasional swipe for gas to keep it active.
I finally got back in with Discover after 33 months post-bankruptcy for 15k. They were IIB for 8k iirc. I'm honestly still shocked. They wouldn't approve me until the vast majority of my lates were removed. The day my score jumped from that, I was preapproved. It can definitely be done.
