Discover it - Optimum time for first CLI

The title says it all. Some say to wait until 3 months +. Others say to hit it monthly. I took a shot at about 2 months and was declined. Now, I'm a little past 3 months, but I want to wait until my Total Credit goes up by 130% and my Util goes down to almost nothing. That should be within the next couple of weeks. There should be a corresponding boost in my FICO scores.

I assume there is no set time for the first CLI as there is with Amex.

Re: Discover it - Optimum time for first CLI

I can't remember if it's been resolved but I was under the impression that Discover might use the last SP they did (for the free provided score) when it's a CLI request.  So getting your utilization in order may not reflect on this month's free provided score, so it may not matter for the CLI request either.

This is valuable to know, because my free TU reported on the website is fully 100 points lower than my current one.

Mine are different as well. This is why i suggest to hit the luv button AFTER you see the most recent updated date score. This will ensure they will have the most accurate data.
