I have a car loan and other unsecured credit cards but I want a discover card but was denied and offered the secured one should I take the offer to get in the door

I vote yes. My card is set to graduate in May after the 7th statement cuts. I'll get my $1000 dollars back and put it into savings. They have great customer service and you can ask for the 5% catergories to be added to the secured just by calling in. IMO, its probably the best secured card out there.

Hands down the best secured product on the market. I hope you took the deal and already have your card by now. I opened my card in March, already did a PC to the 5℅ rotating category card, and increased my initial $200 CL to $1,700 via additional deposit. I plan to go the max of $2,500.

So you are aware, they do allow you to PC to the 5℅ Discover It Program, but you can't do so until your first statement has posted. Additionally, the change won't go in until the first day of the following statement cycle. While you are changing from the Discover it Chrome product to the Discover It product there is no change in the actual cards. It's simply a reward change. Having said this, your card design options do change. The Charcoal Card and a few others are not available with the Discover It 5℅ Program.

My secured card graduated at $2,000 (started with $500 then increased to $1,000), I love being able to get a live North American rep. at all hours of the day. Customer service has been very good anytime I had a concern. I also like making payment anytime something post so being able to do that two times in a day has helped my OCD with that lately lol
