I have three of these puppies, two for a year and my CSP is new. I have pretty much all the cards I want, so in the future I plan to focus on CLIs. For those of you with multiple trade lines, what has been your experience with requesting CLIs? I know they will do a hard pull for each request, so I will stagger mine--won't even ask for a bump on the CSP for a year. I just wonder if I should be happy with my total $15K limit or if I should periodically ask. I am hoping to hit five figure limits one day on my Chase, Discover, and Barclay lines.
Income probably plays a large factor in how much total credit they're willing to extend to you. They may take banking relationship into consideration too, but I don't know that for sure. I've only requested one CLI with Chase and as you said it was a hard pull (EX) but I got the full amount requested. If it helps at all, my total credit available with Chase is around 50% of my annual income and they have told me I've reached my maximum exposure. This is across 5 cards.

Yes, I did know about income being a factor in granting increases. What I did not know was their policy regarding limits no higher than 50% of annual income. That's interesting. They could double all my limits and mine will still be less than 50% so I seem to be okay there.
I have 4 Chase Cards - Chase seems to give CLI's if you carry a balance.
That has been my experience. I carried about a 25-30% balance on my Freedom during the 0% intro period, was bumped from 3K to 5K.
I have 5 chase cards currently
Amazon Visa -$1,000
Chase Freedom -$3,500
Chase Sapphire -$4,500 ( Moved $500 to the Amazon Visa)
Chase Sapphire Preferred -$5,000
Marriott premier card -$5,000
Total - $19,000
Personally I wouldn't push myself and ask for a CLI.
I would reserve my HP for applying new cards which comes with great signing bonus/perks.......:-)

for best results with Chase its best to get another card, meet the spend requirement for bonuses, move CL around as you like, the are quite friendly with initial CL's on there travel cards. Southwest card gave me a $20k starting limit. Chase CLI's are almost always a HP and not guaranteed to result in a CLI or possibly a small one, new cards have much better chances.
I have 16k in CL between my 3 Chase cards. If they will grant up to 50% of income I have quite a ways to go. I'm planning a family trip for 2016 and would like to be able to put the entire thing on my CSP and have everyone pay me back so I'm hoping to get that card to 15-20k CL by early 2016. Although I've just moved and I realized Southwest is the only airline that will get me direct flights to Chicago so I might be flying SW more than I normally would. I might apply for the SW card middle of next year. Hopefully my scores will be mid 700's by then. I was 680 when I applied for my other Chase cards. Maybe they'll start me with a nice limit that I can move over to my CSP.

Did you ask, or did they just bump it for you?

The only problem with this for me is that I already have all the Chase cards I want/need. I have a United card, which is the only carrier I fly besides Delta--and I have SkyMiles Amex for that. Freedom and CSP that go together like peanut butter and jelly. I don't really want a hotel card because I have no particular hotel brand loyalty. Whatever is decent and reasonable is what I look for, and my Escape and CSP has me covered for most travel.
Although if they did come up with a co-brand that had amazing bonuses, I could be tempted.
