Does AMEX Optima Card consider credit score?

It’s not a secret that information in the AMEX Optima card is scarce, so thank you in advance for any advice you have. I received my first AMEX in 2013. It was the Delta Skymiles Card. In 2014, I decided to get the Delta reserve. After a divorce, I had a bit of trouble and the card fell into CO status. I just paid the card off in full today because I was offered the AMEX Optima Card. I also paid off about 13 other accounts so I should hopefully see a pretty nice score increase. My questions are:

1) Will I receive the application via USPS or email?
2) My scores are currently in the low 500s; will I still get approved for the Optima?
3) How long does it take to find out whether the Optima application is approved?

First, congrats on paying off several cards! That's awesome!
Second, I don't know a lot about optima......but from what I do know (from my understanding)....If you are offered it and meet whatever terms, such as paying off etc, you are approved for it.
How were you offered it? Did they mention an app?

Re: Does AMEX Optima Card consider credit score?

Thank you! Yes, I was offered the Optima via a letter I received in the mail from AMEX internal collections. i was told that when I pay off the card in full, I’d receive an application to apply for the Optima Card, with a credit line of $600 so long as I don’t have another AMEX and haven’t filed bankruptcy.

It should come by USPS and will need to be mailed back. It was part of the settlement so it's a done deal. The application is just a formality. After having it a year you'll be eligible to apply for other amex products as long as your reports can support an approval.

Hi and welcome to myFICO

I echo Jag73's congrats. I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling to be back in the driver's seat.

Also, Brian_Earl_Spilner's offered good advice. It sounds like the application is just a formality.

Keep up the good work on creating a great credit profile.

UPDATE

I paid my AMEX CO on 11/17/19 and received a notification from AMEX on 11/18. Today, 11/30/19, I received the Optima card application, dated 11/25. I’ll let you know what happens next.

Also, what arrived was a legal
Sized letter explaining the terms of the offer. At the bottom of that—taking up about 1/5 of the page, was the “application.” Just asked for basic information and there was space for an additional card as well.
