Here's the story. I felt somewhat lucky 2 days ago and applied for a Amex green card, I was instantly approved. So I said what the heck and applied for a BCE on the same day was instantly approved. I decided to so research after the fact and realized that I really wanted a CC that would allow me to rack up points for hotels and flights and quickly learned (through the forum) that the green card was not the best card for this. So I applied for the Starwoods Preferred Card yesterday, 2 days after my first two applications were approved. I got the in progress email. I guess it's safe to say that my SPG application will be manually reviewed. I'll be okay if it's denied. What I'm nervous about is since I didn't get an instant decision, I may have put my previous approvals at risk. I searched the forums and could not find any information that Amex closes accounts after approving, however my third application may have sent a red flag. Am I being paranoid or is there some validity to my concern?
