I don't want to go on a long sob story but would like to explain my situation about a credit card account that I had with HSBC. It was a Direct Rewards Discover account that was accessed through the account central online website. Anywho... I lost my job last year while I was pregnant. I am a single mom and also care for an autistic and blind son needless to say last year I needed help. Several times I asked for assistance by either emailing or calling HSBC with no assistance. After being severely behind on this account I called and spent 3 hours on the phone going in circles with reps and no one would take my payment when I finally found a job. I'm just trying to find out where to start. Does anyone know of a any actual HSBC information especially for complaints or a backdoor number for the specific credit card. I'm really stuck because when I call the number on the website no one can assist me.
If I put this in the wrong location please move it for me lol thank you.
Sorry to hear. I think most of HSBC accounts sold it to Cap1 last year.
Ron.
Thanks Ron. Thats what I thought. Hopefully I can resolve this soon. I need my ficos to go up so my son can get therapy.

Did they sell your account to CA? I think you should talk to CA instead of Cap1. They might not know.
Ron.
Did you call to settle with them or pay to delete? By the way, how long ago was it (the debt)?
Ron.
Who is the CA? You should run some searches for that CA to see what experience people have had in trying to negotiate pay for delete agreements with them. You'll probably have more success posting about this in the rebuilding forum.
im trying to first negotiate a settlement and pay for delete. it just appeared on my cr last month stating that collections began in march. i never received anything ftom yhem and its drowning on fees. I called and got a very rude csr so im trying to just send letters.
