Does Discover typically pull Equifax?

Im in Illinois, applied for discover it several times throughout 2012-2016. Once in 2012 they pulled Tu, then every signle time for the next several yearrs, they pulled EQ. A few times they double pulled EX/EQ. I applied for Discover It miles in January and they single pulled TU. 

Discover in my eyes is a big EQ puller.

I applied for the Discover IT in March and I was approved.

They pulled EX for me, and I live in Florida.

I did not have any bureaus frozen.

Dont know if it makes a differrence or not, but I was getting at least one prequal in the mail per week for a couple months before I made the app, and I think I used the code that was in the letter.

Got my Discover It last year and they only pulled EQ.  DH got one last week and they only pulled EQ (in Michigan).

Yes, Discover pulls Equifax and sometimes they will pull another bureau as well.  I keep all of mine frozen, but I unfroze my Experian file and I applied for the card.  I got a message after I applied to call Discover and I had them pull Experian.  Instantly approved.  My better half was instantly approved and they pulled Equifax and Experian.  Easy process all-around.

I got my Discover in 2012 while living in Missouri, and they pulled EQ. 

Incidentally, I called them for a HP CLI about a year later, and they pulled EQ then, too.

Why did you need to use a HP for a CLI out of curiosity?  Were you attempting a CLI amount that a SP simply wouldn't support?

They use TU scores for AR and based on that they give CLI's and APR reduction
